So, it’s kinda happened again. Someone carelessly uttered those magical words – ‘tiramisu’ and ‘bakeoff’ – in the same sentence. Consequently, suminhorto ‘escalated things somewhat’, et voila: PUBLIC COMPETITION!

To recap: Brock and Tash are buddies. Tash used to work at Parliament with me. Brock works with Skruff at Xero. Tash sells amazing dyed wool, is the brains behind ‘It’s a tree’ and likes tiramisu from Cultured Petone. Brock is one of my food enablers on twitter, good friends with my workmate and takes stunning photos. Still following me? Good…
After chatting about the delectable tiramisu that you can buy from Cultured Petone (pictured above), Tash and Brock challenged each other to a bake off. I thought that was sweet, but then they approached Megan to be a judge. So I threw all of my toys out of the cot, demanded that I be allowed to sample some (I’m quite partial to tiramisu) and once again escalated the competition into the public eye. As I am wont to do on occasion.
The lovely Sue who runs Craft 2.0 (and designs some seriously stylish jewellery) has very kindly offered us a table at the craft fair tomorrow. We have celebrity judges lined up, Wellington’s twitteratti will be out in force… I don’t really need to try and sell this do I? I mean, we’re talking about tiramisu here!
So… at 2pm tomorrow, come along to the fabulous Craft 2.0 and witness this amazing bake off. The winner might have to literally prise the prize out of my cold, dead hands before I willingly hand it over… it’s so yummy!
P.S. I promise that at some point, I will stop embroiling Skruff’s workmates in public food competitions. One day. Sometime. Maybe.
